Why a literature review sounds machine-made
The theoretical part summarises the literature: definitions, paraphrased sources and an overview of terms, written neutrally. Text like that is even and predictable even when you wrote it yourself — and that is how it reads to your supervisor too.
Humanisation breaks up its regular sentence rhythm and removes phrases like “it is important to note” or “plays a key role”, which easily creep into a literature review. The content, the sources and the order of ideas are meant to stay.
