What happens to text from Gemini

Why Gemini text sounds machine-made

Gemini likes to answer in a tidy structure: a short introduction, bullet points, bold keywords and a summary at the end. In a chat that helps, but in an essay or an e-mail it looks like the output of a tool and not a text by a person.

Inside the paragraphs the same applies as with other models: sentences of similar length and generic turns of phrase. It shows even when the text was written directly in Gmail or Google Docs and feels like your own.

What the rewrite changes

Humanisation measures the text first: sentence rhythm, phrases typical of AI and repeated collocations. Then it rewrites the text to suit the chosen type, adds small human irregularities and measures the result again. Anything that fails a check is repaired once.

Facts, numbers, names, quotations and the order of ideas are meant to stay, and the length must not change by more than a quarter. The rewrite does not check factual accuracy automatically, though, so read the whole result.

Text from Google Docs and Gmail

If Gemini edited only part of a document, rewrite only that part. Your own paragraphs do not need to go through humanisation.

The rewrite returns plain text without headings or markdown and leaves the paragraphs where they are. Only the report type is meant to keep bullet points, so in continuous text turn them into sentences before rewriting.

What the rewrite does not change

Where the text comes from. Text from Gemini is still text from Gemini after the rewrite, just written differently. If the rules of your school, publisher or client require you to disclose AI use, the rewrite changes nothing about that.

Nor does it guarantee that the text passes a detector. Each detector measures something different, and detectors change. The machine feel shown above the text is our own measure of style, not a score from someone else's detector.

FAQ on humanising text from Gemini

Does the rewrite remove the SynthID watermark?

We do not promise that. We cannot measure SynthID, so we do not know what the rewrite does to it. If the rules require you to disclose AI use, the rewrite changes nothing about that.

Will bullet points from Gemini stay in the rewrite?

With the report type the structure is meant to stay. With the other types expect plain text without headings or markdown.

Can I submit the rewritten text as my own?

That depends on the rules. Where AI use has to be disclosed, the rewrite does not change that, and where AI is banned, the rewrite does not make the text allowed. If you are not sure, ask beforehand.

Does it work for Czech, Slovak or German text too?

Yes. Humanisation detects the language on its own and has its own list of phrases typical of AI and its own rewrite rules for each of the four languages.
