What happens to text from Grok

Why Grok text sounds machine-made

Grok tries to sound relaxed and funny, and that tone quickly wears thin. Similar exaggerations and forms of address keep coming back, and underneath them stays the regular sentence structure typical of a language model.

In a text for school or work the conversational tone does not fit anyway. So the rewrite follows the text type you choose, not just individual phrases.

What the rewrite changes

Humanisation measures the text first: sentence rhythm, phrases typical of AI and repeated collocations. Then it rewrites the text to suit the chosen type, adds small human irregularities and measures the result again. Anything that fails a check is repaired once.

Facts, numbers, names, quotations and the order of ideas are meant to stay, and the length must not change by more than a quarter. The rewrite does not check factual accuracy automatically, though, so read the whole result.

Check current information

Grok works with current events and with posts from the X network, which may contain inaccuracies. The rewrite does not change facts and numbers, but it does not verify them either, so rewriting will not fix a wrong detail.

So before rewriting, check names, dates and numbers. Add a source or a note of your own, because that is what makes the text yours.

What the rewrite does not change

Where the text comes from. Text from Grok is still text from Grok after the rewrite, just written differently. If the rules of your school, publisher or client require you to disclose AI use, the rewrite changes nothing about that.

Nor does it guarantee that the text passes a detector. Each detector measures something different, and detectors change. The machine feel shown above the text is our own measure of style, not a score from someone else's detector.

FAQ on humanising text from Grok

Does the rewrite keep the conversational tone?

The rewrite follows the text type you choose: a post stays conversational and direct, and a report stays matter-of-fact and brief.

Is the rewrite useful for a short post too?

The text must have at least 100 characters. With just a few sentences the change is small, though, because sentence rhythm can hardly be measured in them. Pick the post type and add an observation of your own.

Can I submit the rewritten text as my own?

That depends on the rules. Where AI use has to be disclosed, the rewrite does not change that, and where AI is banned, the rewrite does not make the text allowed. If you are not sure, ask beforehand.

Does it work for Czech, Slovak or German text too?

Yes. Humanisation detects the language on its own and has its own list of phrases typical of AI and its own rewrite rules for each of the four languages.
